Watch: “Alone with my Accordion”

I was honored to work on “Alone with My Accordion” a short film of award winning, Jay Sheldon. Great crew and cast. I even got to act with my long-time accordion instructor, Dick Albreski. Enjoy- Alone with My Accordion [Short Film] from Jay Sheldon on Vimeo.

Back at the Emmys

I am blessed to work doing what I love and getting to work with my brother, Marcus. We won a Heartland Emmy this year for producing the promo “Fly Freedom 43” for KAUT-TV.Marcus is responsible for my crazy antics on Linda Cavanaugh’s show as well. It’s crazy we get to do what we grew up doing. Same game, nicer toys.

Meeting Maria (Sonia Manzano) from Sesame Street!

Last year I was fortunate to interview and shoot a piece with Alan Muroaka from Sesame Street (CLIP HERE). I never thought I’d get ANOTHER chance to work with another S.S. star! Enter CLC: Community Literacy Center. They were bringing Sonia Manzano for their annual fundraiser and called me to help promote and entertain at the gala. It was one of my career highlights as well as getting me involved in educating adults who struggle with reading. On RISE AND SHINE    Sonia Manzano is an incredible talent has a true passion for people. Thank you “Maria” for letting this fan-boy hang with ...

With “Weird Al” Yankovic… again

I have long been a fan of “Weird Al” dating back to my first accordion purchase at a Minco garage sale in 1993. Having listened to him in my youth eventually I would see him in concert a few times. When I was in college he came to my school for a show and I got to open for him: I struggled through 15 minutes of zero material but didn’t get to meet him OR get my accordion signed…   Over the next 4 years we would cross paths but it wasn’t until 13 years later I finally got to have a conversation ...

Foggy Mountain with Byron Berline

I was fortunate enough to sit down with legendary fiddle player Byron Berline at the Double Stop Fiddle Shop in Guthrie Oklahoma. I was there to talk about his International Bluegrass Festival but we ended up playing. Correction, he played – I struggled. Even got to cut a promo with his band including banjo champion John Hickman!

Lucas on the Red Carpet

Early this year I was invited to the family comedy premiere of “Moms Night Out” and got to sit down with stars like Patricia Heaton and Sean Astin!

Lucas at the Emmys

I am blessed to get to work at a job that allows me to do what I love. For the third year in a row I have attended the Heartland Regional Emmys and for the second time in a row I was fortunate to win.

Meeting Alan from Sesame Street!

My whole live I’ve been inspired by all Jim Henson created. This goes without saying Sesame Street paved a way to my interests, from Muppets to music.

Slice of Lucas

I was privileged enough to be featured in Slice Magazine! Many thanks to talented Lauren Hammack and Carli Wentworth! “A give and take about meeting formative influences, making outlandish funeral plans and more with the gleefully goofy Emmy-winning entertainer and Muppet enthusiast Lucas Ross.” READ Slice’s ARTICLE HERE
